Having previously owned the Cloud Hotel in Brockenhurst for 42 years, Avril oversaw the transformation of a struggling business into a highly regarded and always popular destination. A former professional dancer with The Tiller Girls, Avril took over the running of the hotel when her husband died suddenly at the age of 45, leaving her with four children and no life or mortgage insurance.

Her commitment and common sense approach have been recognised and admired by many culminating in Avril receiving several prestigious accolades within the industry.
